Odessa-based print house seeks customers for its eco-friendly stationery products, made only from premium materials sourced across Europe

Yurii Steshenko, CEO of Alfapress in Odessa, reports on his plight and the struggles to keep running his printing company, which now employs 15 of the 20 pre-war employees.

Two years ago, we started producing eco-friendly stationery from recycled and natural materials, like wood and cork. We use European raw materials for our covers, including cork from Portugal and Spain, wood from Ukraine, and biomaterials from Italy. We buy paper from Austria and Bulgaria. We use fine papers like Arctic Munken and the 100% recycled Mondi Nautilus. These papers have less impact on the environment and allow us to produce good-quality stationery, like the Kiri series of stationery items, whose name comes from one of my daughters, Kira.

In Odessa, we’re the biggest print house. We have five presses in our 800 sqm facility, including an offset press and digital presses from Xerox and Ricoh. We bought our last Ricoh in 2020 during a trip to Telford. We also have post-press machines for cutting, embossing, plotters for paper and cardboard, and laser cutting for shaping wood.

You can help us by purchasing our products. We can sell serial products to European sales companies specializing in stationery. We can also make customized stationery items made of wood, cork, and other eco-materials for European companies.

We can deliver by road to Moldova, Poland, and other European countries.
